Daniel Haggerty of Glenmont is involved in Hudson Valley Community College Theatre Club's spring production, Dames at Sea.
Haggerty is understudy for the role of Richard Padarooski in the production, which runs April 26 through May 6 in the Maureen Stapelton Theatre on the Hudson Valley Community College campus in Troy.
Dames at Sea is the HVCC Theatre Club's first musical production. The book and lyrics are by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller and music by Jim Wise. The show played off-Broadway in the 1960s and featured a young Bernadette Peters in the starring role.
The college has offered a Theatre Arts A.S. degree since 2008. The program is designed to provide a foundation for those wishing to pursue a four-year degree in acting or other related theater arts.
Tickets are available at the door before performances. Hudson Valley students are admitted free, HVCC faculty/staff and students from other colleges, $3; general admission, $6; and seniors, $5. For showtimes, go to www.hvcc.edu/events.
